The UNIC automation system is an embedded engine management system designed by Wrtsil. UNIC handles all tasks related to engine safety, control and monitoring., , The system architecture is based on distributed electronic modules, thus the measurements and controls are occurring where locally needed on the engine. The UNIC modules communicate with each other over a robust communication bus. The communication with external systems is provided via UNIC modules in main cabinet.
