Jotachar JF750 - Epoxy Intumescent insulation for Structural steel I-sections for resistance against Hydrocarbon Pool fire and Jet fire
Product Description
Product Description

The insulation system is composed of two-pack epoxy based primer (MUKI EPS Red) covered by a two component (base & cure) epoxy thick-film intumescent coating, 'Jotacher JF750'., , The application of the insulation system is to be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendation. Prior to the application, the steel sections are to be abrasive blasted to grade Sa2.5 of ISO 8501-1., , Alternative primers and topcoats may be used provided they have been tested and approved by the manufacturer in accordance with their documented procedure.

The thickness of 'Jotachar JF750' insulation system to be applied on the steel I-sections to avoid temperature to rise more than 200C, 250C, 300C, 350C and 400C, when exposed to Hydrocarbon Pool fire, are given in the appendix table 14-18. The table gives the minimum recommended thickness against fire resistance time, temperature and section factor (Hp/A) for Hydrocarbon pool fire. | | The Jet fire erosion factor i.e. additional jet fire scale up thickness to be added to the insulation system thickness for pool fire, given in the appendix table 14-18, are as following: | | Core temp. Jotachar JF750 erosion factor (mm) | (C) 0-30 mins 31-60 mins 61-90 mins 91-120 mins | 200 1.9 2.4 - - | 250 1.6 2.3 2.8 - | 300 1.5 2.2 2.3 - | 350 1.4 2.2 2.2 2.2 | 400 0.6 1.9 1.9 1.9 | | The relative density of Jotachar JF750 is 1.0 g/cm3.
