Product Description

The Geislinger Gesilco BF (Butterfly) coupling consists of two membranes, an outside located split intermediate tube shaft and two flanges made of advanced composites (glass- and carbon fibers with formulated epoxy resins). Membranes, intermediate shaft and flanges are manufactured monolithically without bonding. Both halves of the coupling are bolted together at the flanges with fitting bolts. Installation tolerances and the centering recess are compensated by means of distance shifts. At the inner radius of the membranes fitted steel ring inserts into drilled holes are foreseen. Non-fitted bolts could be used to connect the membrane with the customer's flange.
