Product Description
The hydraulic coupling system allows the torque transmission between two cylindrical shafts without the use of bolted flanges, keyways, tapers or thrust rings. It is mainly composed by three different elements:, - External coupling boss manufactured in forged alloy steel with a minimum yield strength of 650 N/mm2;, - Inner sleeve manufactured in forged alloy steel with a minimum yield strength of 500 N/mm2. The same is phosphatized all over and internally with a special treatment developed by Wartsila to increase the surface friction factor to, at least, 0.30;, - Piston nut. It is located at the beginning of the sleeve/boss taper and forms the low pressure chambers which allows the coupling boss to move at pull-up stage.
