Product Description
"MTE H0 Bolted Joint"
is a vertical corrugated bulkhead constructed of minimum 1.2 mm thick, 1050 mm wide, carbon/stainless steel panels. The panels are connected by a 50 mm overlap, welded together.
The panels are insulated on one side with three layers of 50 mm thick mineral wool, type "Firemaster Marine Plus" nominal density 96 kg/m3, manufactured by Thermal Cheramics. The joints of each layer are staggered with respect to the others by 10 mm. The insulation blankets, of size 3000 x 610 mm, are laid horizontally.
A steel mesh is laid between the insulation and the bulkhead panels as well as over the outer insulation layer. The insulation and steel mesh is fastened to the bulkhead panels with steel pins and washers.
Maximum distance between steel pins: 415 mm horizontally and 300 mm vertically.
Bulkhead panel sections may be connected with a bolted joint. The joint is made of two vertically minimum 4 mm thick 40 mm x 40 mm carbon/stainless steel angles welded to each edge of a bulkhead panel. Intumescent gaskets of type “Pyrostrip 500SA†(40 mm wide and 2 mm thick) is fitted between the steel angles and a minimum 4 mm thick and 85 mm wide carbon/stainless steel bridging plate. Bolts of size M12 or larger are connecting the panel sections at 200 mm centres.
