Fire Resistive Coatings
PYROCLAD X1 Epoxy Mastic Fire Barrier System, intumescent for Steel divisions.
Product Description
Insulation to provide fire integrity of steel bulkhead and decks, composed of steel bulkheads insulated on the non-stiffened side, and steel decks insulated on the stiffened side (underdeck) with a Carboline approved primer and PYROCLAD X1, an epoxy base mixing components part A and part B in a 1:1 ratio by volume intumescent coating system, reinforced with embedded a high temperature mesh fabric.
Product Ratings
Hydrocarbon pool fire H-0, H-60, and H-120 rating for Bulkheads, and H-0, H-60, and H-120 rating for Decks. | Provides fire integrity as detailed below with minimum PYROCLAD X1 application thickness: | H-0 Bulkhead: 6.5 mm, | H-60 Bulkhead: 12.5 mm, | H-120 Bulkhead: 12.5 mm, | H-0 Deck: 6.5 mm, | H-60 Deck: 12.6 mm, | H-120 Deck: 16.6 mm. | As demonstrated by testing conducted as per IMO FTP Code Resolution A.754(18) with NPD hydrocarbon time-temperature curve. | | Additional jet fire erosion factors range from 0.6 mm to 2.6 mm on steel bulkhead/deck to be added to the above hydrocarbon thickness for jet fire scenarios.
Applicable Standards
IMO Resolution A.754(18), Resolution on Fire Resistance Tests for A, B, and F Class Divisions, adopted November 4, 1993, as required by Part 3 of Annex 1of the IMO FTP Code (Resolution MSC 61(67)), using the NPD Hydrocarbon Time-Temperature Curve
