Product Description

Insulation to provide fire integrity of structural steel (WFS and RHS), with a Carboline approved primer and PYROCLAD X1, an epoxy base mixing components part A and part B in a 1:1 ratio by volume intumescent coating system, reinforced with embedded a high temperature mesh fabric.

Provides hydrocarbon fire integrity for Wide Flange Section (WFS) Steels and Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) Steels section factors (Hp/A) range from 30 through 260 based upon a limiting core temperature of 400 C for up to 180 minutes. | Pyroclad X1, in combination with high temperature fabric mesh, can be applied using methods in the manufacturer's application manual to a minimum thickness from a 3 mm up to a 21.45 mm for hydrocarbon fire scenarios, depending on the structural steel shape, Hp/A value, and fire integrity duration of time in minutes. | | The following extra thickness is to be applied for jet fire scenarios: | | Wide Flange Section Steel Fire durations up to: | 15 Minutes-0 mm; 30 Minutes-1.1 mm; 60 Minutes-2.2 mm; 90 minutes-3.2 mm | | Rectangular Hollow Section steel Fire durations up to: | 15 Minutes-0 mm; 30 Minutes-1.2 mm; 60 Minutes-2.1 mm; 90 minutes-2.1 mm; 120 Minutes-2.1 mm |
