Product Description
Electronic control system for propulsion plants equipped with main controllable pitch propellers (CPP) or steerable thruster (FPP or CPP) and or tunnel thrusters (FPP or CPP) fitted on board of AMS, ACC or ACCU vessels., , Digital propulsion control system comprising of main propulsion control unit (PCU) and remote control stations (ECS, BCS, ACS, WCSp WCSs). The PCU consists of control PLC's with hard-wired inputs and outputs that communicate with the engine, gear, propeller or (steerable) thruster. At the front an indication panel HMI is present. The PCU can also be connected to DP, JS, PMS, VDR, Alarm and monitoring system, FIFI system, indicator boxes, hydraulic and lubrication pump starters and external indication panels (HMI's). , The following connections are applicable: Analoge: 4 - 20 mA, +/- 10 V or 24V dc Inputs / Outputs, Binary I/O contacts, Frequency: Inputs (pulse), Drive 24 V dc for Clutch in / out. Communication: Profibus DP, CAN OPEN, RS422/85 Serial and Ethernet., , Connections with the remote control stations are either 1) directly hard-wired, or 2) by means of field bus (Profibus DP) and remote IO units or 3) by means of CAN OPEN towards the bridge control unit (BCU). The BCU consists of embedded controllers (gateways) communicating via CAN OPEN protocol with devices like levers, touch screens and indicator displays (XDI). The BCU can also be connected to the VDR and Alarm and monitoring system. The following connections are applicable: Communication: CAN OPEN, RS422/85 Serial and Ethernet., , The remote control station consists of Pitch/RPM/Steering units, indicators and pushbutton groups or touch screens units.
