Product Description

A programmable logic controller based main propulsion remote control system comprising the following typical main items:, Control station(s) on bridge, user interface - MHP-x Manoeuvring Handle Panel, PCP-x Propulsion Control Panel, TOP Telegraph Order Panel & ESP Emergency Stop Panel., Control station in Engine Control Room (ECR), user interface - MHP-x Manoeuvring Handle Panel, PCP Propulsion Control Panel, TOP Telegraph Order Panel & ESP Emergency Stop Panel., Control station in engine room, user interface- LOP-P Local Operator Panel - Propeller., Control units in Engine area (Engine Control Room or Engine Room)- PCU Propulsion Control Unit & LPCU Local Propulsion Control Unit., , The Manoeuvre Handle Panel (MHP) is the primary control device for the vessels main propeller. There will always be at least one mounted on the bridge. Normally also found in the ECR and optionally on the bridge wings and an aft bridge., The Propulsion Control Panel (PCP) is mounted together with a setpoint lever (Manoeuvre Handle Panel) on all control locations with PCS control, ie normally bridge and ECR, and optionally on the bridge wings. The panel includes facilities for back-up control of the CP propeller., The Telegraph Order Panel (TOP) is normally found in the bridge centre control station and in the ECR control station. The TOP is only a means of communication between bridge and engine areas. It is not a control system., The Emergency Stop Panel (ESP) is normally found in the bridge centre control station and in the ECR control station. The ESP is acting hardwired directly to the engines safety system., The Propeller Indication Panel (PIP) may be found on the bridge wing control stations if no PCP is mounted here. The PIP may also be mounted optionally at several locations to serve as a so-called Panama instrument., The Local Operator Panel - Propeller (LOP-P) is mounted near the local operator station for the main engine enabling local overview and operation of the propulsion machinery from one position in the engine room., The Propulsion Control Unit (PCU) is the main electronics cabinet with process computer and I/O modules., The Local Propulsion Control Unit (LPCU) is the electronics cabinet for monitoring and control of the CP propeller, including the closed loop control of the hydraulics. The LPCU is normally mounted on the hydraulic power unit, producing hydraulic power for the CP propeller., The LPCU and the LOP-P together constitutes the Local Propulsion Control System (LPCS) considered an integrated sub-system in the Alphatronic 3000. The LPCS might be sold separately together with a CP propeller for interface to other propulsion remote control systems., ,
