A fixed dry powder system consisting of a 2 litre CO2 pilot gas cylinder fitted in a release cabinet connected with rubber hoses and stainless steel tubing to a 30 litre N2 cylinder that provides propellant gas via a pressure reducing valve (setpoint 16 bar) and flexible hoses and stainless steel tubing to a 210 litre dry chemical powder tank (safety relief valve setpoint 16.5 bar) filled with 175 kg potassium bicarbonate powder. An automatically activated main valve (set point 10 bar) on the powder tank feeds extinguishing powder through balanced stainless steel distribution piping (DN40/25) system to two spiral jet nozzles (1HHSJ-SS60470).
