Provides fire integrity for I sections with a 31Hp/A up to 333Hp/A based upon a steel critical core temperature of 400oC. Chartek 7E can be applied using methods in the manufacturers application manual from a minimum thickness of 1.97mm and up to a thickness of 15.03mm. | | On a case by case basis, other steel critical core temperatures can be considered with the submission of an engineering analysis including at least A) the original fire and blast risk assessment done for the unit and B) a structural analysis. Additional information may be required. | | HK-1 carbon mesh knit together with glass thread can be used with Chartek 7E. | | An assessment of the performance has been made from tests conducted in accordance with ISO TR 834-3 hydrocarbon time temperature curve as well as jet fire tests in accordance with ISO 22899 up to a fire duration period of 2 hours. | | The following extra thickness is to be applied for Jet fire scenarios: | Fire durations up to: | 15 minutes 1.12mm; 30 minutes 3.01mm; 60 minutes 2.94mm; 90 minutes 2.86mm; 120 minutes 2.61mm | The time of the jet fire endurance cannot be longer than the time of protection for a hydrocarbon fire. |
