Generator machinery monitoring systems MCS-3 is a customer specific (Caterpillar) member of the multi line 2 family of product based on the existing GPU-3 Protection Unit., , MCS-3 functions: Paralleling and Protection Unit for synchronous and asynchronous generators. , Generator protection functions: reverse power, overload, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overfrequency, underfrequency, wire failure, voltage/current unbalance., Busbar protection: over/under frequency; over/under voltage; voltage unbalance., Load sharing, fixed frequency, fixed power and frequency droop.
