2 layer woven light weight tape (Mk2) of:, Dimension: 30 mm x 3 mm, Surface layer: Natural Class A jute, Inner layer: Polyester, Weight: 50 g/m, Jute weight per meter: 17 g/m, Tensile breaking strength: 16 kN, Non-flammable, , 85 mm x 85 mm knotted mesh attached securely to surrounding support structure by attachment tapes of same material as the netting. When installation with attachment tapes is not practical, safety net can also be installed with Frictape Clip Frame System. Test pieces with markings are to be installed freely hanging, exposed to sunlight, preferably on the southern side of the rig. Netting panels whose width is less than 80 cm should be avoided. If these are used it should be noted that their safety factor is smaller than in larger panels.

The minimum width of the unprotected perimeter of helicopter facility should be at least 1.5 meters (4.92 ft.) wide. The outer edge of the safety net must not extend more than 15 centimetres (6 in.) above the surface of the deck.
