HOERBIGER explosion relief valves of the type EVM are to be used for the protection of exhaust ducts of dual fuel- and gas engines. , EVM valves are made of stainless steel using a high temperature sealing as well as a specialized valve plate assembly. , In case of an explosion the valve plate lifts up, relieves the pressure and thus protects the machine against excessive overpressure. The incorporated flame arrester prevents the passing of flames from the valve to the circumference. ,
