Product Description

The HANYOUNG HYN oil-filtering equipment is intended for installation onboard ships or other marine units for oily bilge water separation to less than 15 ppm at discharge overboard. The equipment is designed and tested to meet the requirements of IMO Resolution MEPC.107(49).
The HANYOUNG HYN equipment is a combination of a gravity separator and a built-in coalescence stage.
The oil-water mixtures are introduced through Corrugate Plate Interceptor (CPI) in the separator tank to enhance buoyance effects of the oil droplets. Then the oil droplets coalesced through CPI will be kept on upper tank and water go under the oil layer. Small oil droplets/disperse oils together with water go to the buttom of the tank with a 1st filter cartridge. These oils are absorbed by a 2nd filter and retained for periodic removal according to detected oil level by a Oil Level Sensor.
Back-flush of the separator is initiated immediately after discharging the collected oil. A heating unit is recommended on the upper settling zone of the separator, to make the separated oil pumpable and protect the electrides against clogging.
