Product Description

Control, alarm and monitoring system for manoeuvring thrusters for auxiliary or dynamic positioning use
with two main configurations:
Bridge system
Redundant control system located on the bridge with two control cabinets (if the scope is one thruster,
the system is reduced to a non-redundant configuration with one control cabinet and one HMI controller).
Can interface up to 9 thruster room controllers, 5 control locations, overhead indicators and external
interfaces. The bridge system consists of 3 different software components:
Graphical User Interface (GUI): The GUI software runs on the panel-PCs usually located at the bridge,
where the user operations are executed and indications and alarms are shown.
Human Machine Interface (HMI): The HMI software runs on two separate computers (one computer for
non-redundant configuration), running one virtual and redundant application. One computer is in each of
the bridge control cabinets. This software handles control selection, scaling of control levers, alarm
generation, dimming and all other functions controlled from the GUI.
LINE: The LINE software runs on one separate computer for each thruster on the vessel. The LINE
software control interfaces and logic for each thruster.
Thruster room system
Single controller based system located in a cabinet in the thruster room with interface to the bridge
system.
