The 5B and 5BI are 5 inches universal and isolator bases. The 5B and 5BI 5" universal and isolator bases are compatible with both M600/M900 and 800 series range of addressable detectors, intended for two wire operations. The 5BI isolator base is to ensure that on a looped addressable system, no short circuit fault can disable more detecting devises than would be lost on a conventional non-addressable fire circuit.
